„We build in harmony with environment” – it is a slogan promoting a strategic investment which will soon join the transmission grids of Poland and Lithuania. Almost half a thousand inhabitants of Sejny poviat visited the energy information point.
The Harvest Festival in Sejny poviat was organized on September 11, 2011. The festival is an important event for local community of Sejny poviat. It was therefore an excellent opportunity to organize there an information point on interconnection between Poland and Lithuania and to encourage the inhabitants to discuss. The representatives of all companies involved in the project of interconnection between Poland and Lithuania: PSE Operator, LitPol Link and contractor ELTEL Networks Rzeszów were present at the Harvest Festival.
All the guests received a leaflet about the project; several promotional souvenirs were also distributed. A short film about the interconnection was played in one of the tents.
The children visiting the stand were invited to participate in art workshops conducted by the Lithuanian artist. Several dozen paintings were created forming an impressive collection displayed in the tents.
The participation in Harvest Festival was a good opportunity to promote the investment among large audience of representatives of local authorities. The starost Ryszard Grzybowski underlined the necessity of construction of the line and of improving the energy security in the region.
