Power interconnection part in Lithuania

The line route direction on Lithuania side already exists in the documents of general planning of Lithuania, Alytus County, Alytus and Lazdijai areas. Starting from electrical substations in the northern part of Alytus region, continuing on the south of the town Simnas and north of the Meteliai Regional Park borders the high-voltage line is crossing Lithuanian-Polish border outside the city of Lazdijai above the northern edge of the lake Galadausis. The exact route of the line will be found after the EIA and implementaion of the transmission easements.

In the line route design the priorities will be considered to be distances to residental buidings, bypass of protected areas, cultural heritage sites, as smaller forest cutting areas as possible and protection of the terrain.

The line route on Polish side will be known after the EIA.
